David G. Blawas, Jr.
Designation
David G. Blawas, Jr., born 1/14/1993 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Attended and graduated from Greater Latrobe Senior High School in 2011. While in High School, he attended Eastern Westmoreland Career and Technical Center, completing the Masonry Program where he earned the PA Skills Certificate and the Certificate of Advanced Completion. David then began his 15 month training at the Pittsburgh Job Corp for the field of Heavy Equipment Operating Engineer. After his training was completed, he was accepted into the apprentice training program for the International Union of Operating Engineers, completing 5,000 hours on the job training and 1,000 hours classroom training. After his 4-year apprenticeship was completed, he went on to work for the International Union traveling about the US working on various pipelines such as the Dakota Access Pipeline, Sunoco Mariner East 1 and Sunoco Mariner East 2.
